Our dear young friend, Genevieve, is on a mission to reach out to high school leavers in Australia. She is on her way to Gold Coast to attend the biggest high school party called ‘Schoolies’ where the leavers party for three weeks to celebrate the end of their high school era. Genevieve has seen first hand how some of these youths are really quite lost and wanting to reach out for help but don’t know how. Working with the Student Life teams from both New Zealand and Australia, she will be spending ten days there to try to talk to as many leavers as she can about Jesus Christ.

Shing: Hi! We’re talking to Genevieve today about her upcoming adventures with God. So, Genevieve, tell us a little bit about what you’re gonna be up to.
Genevieve: So, I’m actually going to the biggest party in Australia. It’s called Schoolies on the Gold Coast of Australia. And across three weeks 20,000 high school leavers gather to have a good time. BUT these teenagers need Jesus. That’s why a team of us from Student Life are going over for 10 days to show them that true freedom and joy is found in Jesus. We’re going to be starting conversations and then for those who are interested we’re gonna link them in with our Aussie team for discipleship. Yea, I’m really looking forward to seeing how God will move.
Shing: Yea, so we’re so inspired by Genevieve’s heart to seek the lost and we’d like to see her do really well for this trip so if YOU would also like to support her you can do so by 1. Praying for her for this trip and 2. You can support her financially for this mission trip as well. Details are in the description above. And Genevieve, we want to thank you so much for sharing with us about what you’re doing and we pray that your mission trip will be very fruitful and we look forward to getting updates from you.
Genevieve: Yes.
